Awarded the 2018 Best Public Use Building at the Master Builders-Bankwest Excellence in Construction Awards ($5-$10 million range), the Piara Waters (South) Rossiter Pavilion is a multi-purpose community facility featuring a main hall and clubroom with kitchens and serveries, a multi-purpose room, a meeting room, four change rooms, two referee change rooms, two universal toilets including a shower, spectator tiered seating and more than 100 parking bays.
Successful Projects were appointed Client’s Representative by the City of Armadale as Project Manager and Project Superintendent to deliver this major community project. We prepared the contract requirements for the procurement model (GMP and shared savings) and superintended the works from award of contract through to practical completion; including the defects liability period. We fulfilled the role to ensure the project was delivered in accordance with the contract. We assessed EOT claims, assessed variation claims, certified payments and managed the on-time delivery.
Our approach provided a non-adversarial relationship with the Contractor, both aligning the Contractor with the Principal and proactively resolving project design issues and variations which closed out in a timely and efficient manner. We delivered the project within the client’s budget and to the program whilst guaranteeing the maximum price and providing the opportunity to achieve project savings.
The project was delivered on time in April 2018 and under budget and to a quality level that won the award for 2018 Best Public Use Building at the Master Builders-Bankwest Excellence in Construction Awards ($5-$10 million range).
