140 William St Perth – Level 5 and 6 Fitout | Project Planning
One140 William Street is a 7000sqm fitout project for the re-transformation of Levels 5 and Level 6. The activity based working environment hosts 900 staff from the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage and the Department of Transport (METRONET and Westport).
Role
Successful Projects was engaged on behalf of the Department of Finance to prepare a whole of project schedule, mapping the details of design, long lead items, and delivery over 4 stages. Thereafter, we reviewed and assessed the Contractor’s construction program meets the preliminary requirements. After few iterations and revisions, we recommended the program to be a reliable tool for the planning and management of the works.
Outcomes
We assessed and monitored progress on a weekly basis from site possession through to practical completion. We reported and informed the Client of progress, slippages, issues or delays. The project encountered some challenges with the delay in delivery of long lead items due to COVID-19. The project completed 1st August 2020 to the satisfaction of the client, with 1 day over Practical Completion.
