Duncraig SHS | Construction Planning
The Duncraig SHS will increase from 1300 to 1850 students with 12 new state-of-the-art laboratories in the double-storey science block, English block will house 17 new classrooms, along with staff studies. The existing science block will be converted into modern IT laboratories, and the existing languages classrooms converted into art studios

Role
Successful Projects time planning role is for each design phase to project delivery. Given the site constraint and the requirement to maintain school operation during construction, the project needed complex planning. We mapped out Separable Portions and staging to ensure minimal disruption to the school’s activities. This approach allows for a systematic and organised construction process, with clear sequencing to facilitate the decanting of the school into refurbished or new areas. The construction of Duncraig SHS will be delivered over 4 separable portions with a degree of concurrency.
We also assisted to review the Contractor’s program to resolve issues in scope and staging prior to the recommendation of approval.
Status
During the project execution phase, we reviewed complex Extension of Time claims and provided recommendations on grounded in contractual entitlements and critical path impact analysis resulting from qualifying causes of delay.
