HBF Park Stadium | Project Planning

HBF Park scored an incredible win to host the FIFA Women’s World Cup, and continues  to serve for the high performance codes of Rugby Leagues, Rugby Union and Soccer, as well as hosting world class concerts events. The stadium is located at 310 Pier Street, Perth WA. Refurbishment works to the existing Fred D Book Stand building were carried out while remaining operational for the public use. The project included 7 Separable Portions including:

• Separable Portion 1 – Western Stand New Addition (Legacy) Building
• Separable Portion 2 – VenuesWest Office, SuperSuite Amenities Upgrade, Western Stand Internal Spaces Refurbishment, Players Race, OB Compound, Existing Refurbishment Stair West, Changing Places and UAT Upgrades
• Separable Portion 3 – VIP Stair & Foyer, Players Benches and East Stand Gates
• Separable Portion 4 – Western Stand New Addition, Concourse Supplementary Lighting, New Walkway & Press Box and Plant, Solar Panels & Outside Broadcast Cabling
• Separable Portion 5 – LED Ribbon Boards & Video Boards
• Separable Portion 6 – Sports Lighting Tower Upgrades and East Stand Vomitory Lighting
• Separable Portion 7 – Western Stand New Addition Legacy Refurbishment Post Event.

Role

Successful Projects provided independent program updates based on the status of the works at the site. This enabled clarifications being sought to understand the opportunities to mitigate delays. There were several workfronts concurrent across the separable portions where programming helped to prioritise the works. These were outlined in our dashboard reports on progress, key dates, key risks, critical activities, and a two-week look ahead

Outcomes

The project was completed to a high quality of standard with Practical Completion of Separable Portions 1-6 inclusive achieved in May 2023 and the last portion  was planned for August 2023 but with completion in November 2023.
