Piara Waters Secondary College Stage 1 is a New high school situated in the Perth Metropolitan Area. Stage 1 facilities will accommodate 750 mainstream students and 80 Ed Support students. The facilities comprise Administration, General Learning Areas, Cafeteria, Library, Science Learning Area, Technologies Learning Area, Health & Physical Education Learning Area, Football Oval, Hocky/Soccer Pitch & Multipurpose Courts, carparking.

Role
Successful Projects were engaged to provide regular site updates and programming to assist with the actual progress performance, forecasting and assessment of EOT claims. The long lead procurement items were high risk and critical to the project for a significant portion of the works. The delays were primary due to steel procurement and lack of resources on site.
Outcomes
Our Project Planner’s role was crucial in assisting the Department of Finance and Superintendent’s Representative of effective risk mitigation, claims assessments. Due to delays the project had to be completed in stages to enable opening of the new high school.
