Tom Price Dust Suppression | Planning Engineer
The Tom Price Dust suppression project is to provide a spray system that suppresses dust and adds moisture to the iron ore mine. These sprays provide atomised water to airborne dust particles and trigger an agglomeration and setting process. They are also used to increase the moisture levels in the ore to reduce dust generation at downstream locations. The project site is located at Western Turner Syncline (WTS) and Tom Price (TP) mine site, Western Australia (WA). The scope of Works of this project comprises the supply and installation of dust suppression systems around the Primary Crusher 3 (PC3), Primary Crusher 2 (PC2), Overland Conveyor (OLC) and Coarse Ore Stockpiles (COS) at Western Turner Syncline (WTS) and Tom Price (TP) mine site.
Role
Successful projects was engaged during the tender and construction phase to create the tender and contract schedules and we continued to support the progress of the project with master schedule development, QMR Reports, Manning, Look Aheads, S-Curve. We assisted delay analysis using time-impact analysis, in order to claim the Extension of Time
Outcome
Our planning services helped the project team to manage the works and have more clear view on the critical path. It also helped the management team to manage the site crew team to reduce manning gaps
