The company provides naval and government operators the highest quality through-life capability management and vessel support services, including crew training and instruction, vessel servicing, repairs and maintenance, integrated logistics support, vessel sustainment and information management systems support.

Our Role

Successful Projects were contracted to provide maintenance planning and scheduling services for full maintenance – preventative and corrective for Australian Border Force – ABF and Royal Australian – RAN Cape class Patrol Boats (8 ABF boats, 2 RAN boats) and 18 Guardian Class patrol boats for the Commonwealth of Australia (COA) at both locations Perth and Cairns. The project required maintenance planning and scheduling using Primavera P6 for activities of Mechanical, Electrical and Structural disciplines as well as engineering changes.

All vessels were scheduled for periodic major maintenance up to 24 weeks duration at contracted periods at the two main maintenance dockyards located in Perth and Cairns.

Additionally, Successful Projects delivered Level 4 schedules which were built from the AMOS maintenance system. During our engagement we were responsible for preparing schedule look ahead, schedule variance, progress and critical path analysis reports for key stakeholders.

Successful Projects additionally assisted the client, ship maintenance contractor on the integration of Primavera P6 with IFS – an Enterprise Resource Planning Software System as a new Maintenance System to provide a seamless one stop process to client’s continuous improvement team.

Part of Successful Projects brief was to produce reports that helped client’s ISS project teams and management be able to see an early visualisation of project risks and issues based on actual progress of works, maintenance dock capacity issues, contractor delays and issues related to delivery. This enabled the ISS project team to apply recovery techniques in a proactive approach to recover individual projects from delays.

Successful Projects was engaged with ISS team delivering project planning and scheduling services for more than 2 years and the client was very complimentary of our services and due to the outputs have now engaged us for an additional term to support maintenance planning from Cairns Office.
